Our Values

At NY-Conn, we nurture a culture of growth by empowering our employees to reach their highest potential. Our dedicated partnership with our Connecticut and New York clients involves development, merit and service.

Since our start in 1989, NY-Conn has been run and operated by MaryJean Rebeiro and her brother, Ross Rizzo. As lifelong residents of Danbury, MaryJean and Ross are proud to build their business in the city they grew up in.

Supporting our community through a variety of philanthropic efforts is the cornerstone of our values. At NY-Conn, we are committed to initiatives that positively impact those around us.

  • “We recently finished a 72 unit luxury condominium development project with NY-Conn, with a contract value of over $6,000,000. This was our first project with them and couldn’t be more happy with their performance. Their workmanship was of the highest quality, they were well organized, cooperated with the other trades and periodically increased manpower as necessary to meet deadlines.”

Tom Marciniec, President, Regional Construction Corporation

  • “I had the pleasure of working with The NY-Conn Corporation organization on the construction of the Danbury Amazon Distribution facility. I say "organization" because of the nature of this project and its demanding duration. The task was to complete a 150,000 sq. ft. building, a mix of new, demo and renovation, within four months. This required tremendous coordination and close corporation between the critical electrical trade and all others. NY-Conn's superior project management, procurement and field supervision provided the necessary leadership and ensured the success of the project. I look forward to working with them on future projects.”

James Delaney, VP of Construction, Rizzo Corporation

  • “My experience working with NY-Conn has been extremely positive. From the smallest fit out project to large scale infrastructure projects, their commitment to their clients is excellent. Their field staff, project management and executive management all understand what it takes to be successful.”

Stephen Malenchini, Senior Vice President/Division Manager, Construction Management & Builders, Inc.

  • “We have worked with The NY-Conn Corporation on several projects; most recently the reconstruction of Albany Avenue in Hartford and the Downtown Crossing Phase II in New Haven. Both projects consisted of traffic signal installation, decorative lighting and street signs. NY-Conn was able to meet the demanding schedules of the projects as they have the workforce, equipment and tools to perform and complete the projects. I would highly recommend NY-Conn for your next roadway project.”

Vincent Federico, Vice President, C.J. Fucci, Inc.

  • “I have worked with NY-Conn on several high-end, schedule critical projects with world renowned architects and demanding owners. NY-Conn always performed well, handled challenges and obstacles professionally and transparently. Workmanship was high, change orders were fair and they really worked with us and all the other trades as a team to turn over a quality building. I would highly recommend working with them.”

Christine Jablonski, Project Executive, Daniel O'Connell's Sons

  • “Regional Hospice and Home Care was building our dream as our new Center for Comfort Care and Healing was under construction, and The NY-Conn Corporation employees worked with us as if they had also taken our mission to heart. NY-Conn was passionately committed to the project from the beginning and continually made decisions that were in the absolute best interest of our agency. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail were exceptional. It was clear to us that NY-Conn employees understood our personal dedication to the project and were also taking great pride in working on a project of this magnitude for our community. My particular kudos and gratitude to the project superintendent, for his practical and aesthetic advice on our lighting selection for the chapel, and to the project manager. The project superintendent, the project foreman, their workers at our site and all associated NY-Conn staff were consummate professionals. It was a pleasure working with them throughout the building process.”

Cynthia Emiry Roy, President & CEO, Regional Hospice and Home Care

  • “The NY-Conn Corporation has provided excellent professional service to Guilford Art Center's Craft Expo for many years. The event requires temporary wiring of tents and booths for 185 exhibitors and food vendors. NY-Conn's team members are on site for the entire event and are extremely responsive to any issues that pop up during the show.”

Maureen Belden, Executive Director, Guilford Art Center

  • “I wanted to send you a brief letter to thank everyone at The NY-Conn Corporation for the excellent job at our Harley-Davidson dealership here in Danbury, CT. Our experience with other contractors has not always been good over the years, but The NY-Conn Corporation is different. The NY-Conn Corporation did all the electrical contracting for our new 30,000 sq. ft. facility on time and within the original bid. It was also very pleasant to do business with a company that was fair and timely when we needed to make changes to the original bid specifications. We also would like you to know that we found your service and follow up after the completion of the building to be the best we ever experienced in our eleven years in business!”

Al Lucchino, Vice President- Harley-Davidson of Danbury, Inc

  • “The NY-Conn Corporation is an outstanding company and has been providing electrical service to us for the past 10 years, with professional service and dependability.”

    Peter Bonnano, President Clarion Construction

  • “Just a brief note to thank your crew working in Prospect at Rte. 68-69, the inter-action with the Motoring Public, the Police and myself was excellent.”

Robert J. Chatfield, Mayor of the Town of Prospect

  • “The Stop & Shop renovation at Newtown, CT is drawing to a close. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the administration and cooperation which your employees extended to the project. During the entire project the project manager and your foreman were extremely efficient, cooperative and kept to the schedule without any prodding. It was a pleasure dealing with a professional team as NY-Conn presented to Melito Construction on this project. Their efforts certainly played a large part in the project remaining on schedule and proceeding in a clean and smooth manner.”

John A. Martino, Project Manager Melito Construction Corp.

  • “I would like to say what a clean professional job your electrician did at the airport. Everybody involved from the engineers and the city employees and Rizzo commended the job that was done, a definite excellent job well done.”

Bob White, Manager A.M. Rizzo Electrical Contractors Inc.

  • “Having worked with NY-Conn for almost two years on our Norwalk job I felt it necessary to share my experience with you both. Being faced with the need for a larger electrical contractor, NY-Conn was recommended to me by an associate. My decision to use your company proved to be the right one. From the start, the process of getting on board was a pleasure dealing with such a professional company. From the office personnel to the guys out in the field. The project manager took charge of the job. The project manager always addressed my needs from the start to the finish of the job. The electrician proved himself to be experienced, knowledgeable and an intelligent electrician, which is something we are losing in our industry. I never had to tell him what to do and let him run the electrical phase of the job the way he felt best. Making both mine and your project manager's job easier. We passed the rough inspection without issue, and the head inspector commented on how neat and clean the wiring was and that the panels were some of the best he'd seen in a long time. Your project manager and I coordinated together and decided to keep a small crew on site most of the time and it worked out in that there was never a need for that notorious push at the end. Working together achieved my main goal...a three hour, 32 unit final inspection without fail. I pride myself on flawless inspections and your guys came through. I will not hesitate to recommend your company and will look forward to working with you in the future.”
